The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two time world boxing king Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, consistently making massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly happening.
